Selection Process for Dukuh of Sidomulyo Village, Godean, Sleman Held at UNY Faculty of Education and Psychology

Sleman, March 8, 2025 – The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Yogyakarta State University (UNY), hosted the selection process for prospective Dukuh (hamlet heads) of Sidomulyo Village, Godean Subdistrict, Sleman Regency. The selection was attended by four candidates competing for two Dukuh positions in Gancahan V and Gancahan IV hamlets.

The selection process was led by the Head of the Department of Psychology, FIPP UNY, Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si., Psychologist, with support from Psychology lecturers, particularly those specializing in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In addition, lecturers from Javanese Language Education were involved as judges in the Javanese speech test.

The candidates underwent a series of assessments, including interviews, a national insight test, psychological tests, and a speech test. Each stage of the selection was designed to assess leadership capacity, civic knowledge, and communication skills to ensure that the selected Dukuh would be able to carry out their duties effectively in the community.

After all stages of the selection were completed, the results were announced on the same day at the Sidomulyo Village Office. Through this selection process, it is expected that the elected Dukuh will be able to carry out their mandate responsibly and contribute to the progress of Gancahan V and Gancahan IV hamlets.

This event demonstrates UNY’s commitment, particularly that of the Department of Psychology, to supporting an objective, transparent, and professional village official selection process in order to produce high-quality village leaders.
